Every year, each department at VCUArts hosts an event where MFA students introduce themselves and their practice to students, faculty, and staff utilizing the PechaKucha. The departments of Graphic Design and Photo + Film came together to give their presentations together. This poster series is informed by the format of a PechaKucha, a storytelling presentation format wherein a presenter shows 20 slides with 20 seconds for each slide. The poster utilizes a 20x20 grid that's fashioned into different abstract shapes to speak to the way in which the format is an impetus for us to begin from, but ultimately we can create our own versions of presenting within or outside this form.
